If you're just getting in to camping and don't want to spend a lot of money on pricey cooking gear, then sets like these are ideal. This set is very affordable at £24.99 (at the time of reviewing) and contains everything you'll need for basic camping. You get a 1.5 litre pot with lid - big enough to cook for two people. The frying pan is a decent size at 18cm by 4cm deep, and the kettle holds 0.8 litres - more than enough for a few cuppa's or to re-hydrate expedition meals. Accessory wise there's a silicone pot grabber (mini-oven glove) and a small pouch with a knife, fork and spoon in. The knife is pretty sharp. There's also a carabiner, but I'm unsure why they've felt the need to include this. The handles on the pans all feel pretty good, they're tight but not overly tight - and certainly better than loose dangerous handles. The pans are made out of a non-stick aluminium, so be careful not to scratch them - wooden or plastic utensils are best. A great set for beginners or festival goers, and packs down small enough in to it's mesh storage bag.

We tried this set twice, once in our garden and once on a camping weekend. These are well made articles. Well priced, compact, potable and a good size for two. Easy to clean. Non stick. Can handle camp fire. Not as thick or robust as some of the top branded sets. But happy to recommend at this price for the occasional camping use.
